Imprevisibilidade

Hoje há no mundo mais de seis mil milhões de seres humanos de reacções imprevisíveis, cada um deles controlado por três instâncias psíquicas, que segundo Freud serão o id, o ego e o superego, ou, numa visão mais moderna, o cérebro reptiliano, o sistema límbico e o córtex cerebral. Existe também uma infinidade de motivações sociais, económicas, políticas e religiosas. Para se poderem fazer previsões exactas sobre a humanidade, seria necessário lidar com milhões de milhões de variáveis, algo que é virtualmente impossível. Além disso, existe um outro problema. Consideremos gotas de água caindo sobre uma pedra. Enquanto a acção da água sobre a rocha pode ser modelada de maneira a que se consigam fazer previsões sobre os resultados dessa actividade, cada ser humano possui uma consciência mais ou menos desenvolvida e, o que é mais, em plena actualização. Na natureza, um estímulo igual tende sempre a provocar um efeito igual, e é essa regularidade que permite a elaboração das leis das ciências exactas. Mas o mesmo estímulo sócio-psíquico, num indivíduo, não desencadeia sempre a mesma sensação, porque o homem reage não directamente ao estímulo, mas sim à consciência que tem desse estímulo, o que leva a que a mesma pessoa possa ter atitudes diferentes, em tempos diversos, perante situações idênticas.

A nossa própria imprevisibilidade, dentro de limites razoáveis, pode ser um estímulo para quem nos rodeia... :-)

A questão da imprevisibilidade põe-se mesmo em relação a processos naturais (isto é, não estritamente apenas quanto ao pensamento, emoções e sentimentos humanos)...como o põe em evidência a mecânica quântica ! Portanto, esta interdependência da uma infinidade de variáveis par produção de um evento é de âmbito mais geral...suponho

Quando usei a expressão "um estímulo igual tende a provocar um efeito igual", tentei salvaguardar a possibilidade de nem sempre isso acontecer, e sei que ao nível subatómico a realidade diverge daquilo que é o "senso comum". No entanto, as leis físicas que regem o nosso dia-a-dia resultam do conhecimento das relações causa-efeito. É inegável (suponho) que nas ciências humanas é muito mais difícil o estabelecimento de leis, porque essas relações são muito menos lineares.
